Ever since I was young, like grade school young I remember trying to imagine what my life would be like some day… What my career would be, who my husband would be, maybe a doctor, maybe a superstar.. But above all the silly day dreaming I knew there was only one thing that was really important, and one thing that I really wanted… Happiness. True, unconditional, happiness. Nothing else matters unless you have happiness and love and I knew that is all I wanted.

Fast forward 8 or so years, and I’m set up with a blind date to my sorority dance. I honestly never thought I would be a blind date type of person, but it was 2 weeks before the dance, and I had no date! A shout out to April Thein and Nicole Shelton, who were also in my sorority and said they knew of someone who was wildcard, but he could probably fill the spot. They had me facebook creep him (ha! of course, the college years) and we decided to try and make this wildcard work!:) We hit it off, and talked, or were together every day after and never looked back… Thank you blind dates and silly sorority dances!:)

We had an amazing wedding! It was so beautiful, not only because of the decorations, the fresh  scent of roses, and the fact that we were in the same stunning church that my grandparents had gotten married in 53 years ago, but also because of all the amazing people that had come to witness and support Andrew and I as we committed ourselves to eachother and to god. So many people drove and flew miles to be with us on our day, and I only wish there was more more time in that whirlwind of a day to spend with them. We truly have the best parents, the best families, and the best friends, that all made this day possible and we can’t thank them enough!

Happy 1 year anniversary, Andrew! Thank you for making me so happy, thank you for being a best friend, thank you for knowing where I put my cell phone when I think I have lost it, thank you for not only allowing me to chase my dreams, but helping me get there. You have made me the happiest girl, and I only hope I can make you your happiest now, and for the next 70 years.
