Dunton Hot Springs Resort | Iowa & Destination Wedding Photographer

One of my 2015 goals, travel more! 2015, the year of travel! Especially since as our family continues to grow, it will become significantly harder, if not impossible to travel I’m assuming!:) 2014 wasn’t a bad year of travel either though. Right before Christmas we got back from my best friend’s wedding in JAMAICA!!! It was so stunning and beautiful and I can’t begin to tell you how fun it was! We will be going back and doing the same thing in a few years, that is for sure! A blog post with images from that to come in the next week or so!:)
But, to start off 2015 with a bang, we are travel to the opposite of Jamaica, Colorado!! This will be my first wedding of the year and I am beyond excited for this wedding. beyond. Just read this little snippet from their website… I am swooning….
“Nestled deep in the San Juan Mountains of the Colorado Rockies, Dunton Hot Springs Resort is a romantic ghost town, set in an extraordinary alpine valley. This perfectly restored ghost town thrives on contradictions; hand- hewn log cabins exquisitely furnished, a life-worn saloon serving food of startling quality, lung torturing trails followed by pampering massages, sensuous hot springs beneath shimmering snow banks. The entire town can be rented exclusively for retreats, weddings, and family reunions.”

Andrew and I will have own cabin, there is a yoga studio, all inclusive amazing restaurants, outdoor activities…  I have not even gotten to this place yet, and I’m trying to find another reason to get back out there! Thank you Leah and Jared for having such amazing taste!!! Leah and Jared (the bride & groom) are from Texas, but are traveling to this amazing venue to do a weekend getaway with their friends and family and tie the knot! It’s going to be perfect! I’ll be sure to post lots of pictures when I get there! Here is to 2015: Beaches, desserts, mountains, forest, wineries… take me with you when you go!:)
