As some of you might know, not only do I love shooting weddings, but this weekend is my very own wedding!

If you are one of my wedding guests this weekend, the first thing you will see when you start walking towards our wedding will be something that is very special and meaningful… the church.

Saints Center for Culture and Arts, formally Saint Center Catholic Church, was where my paternal grandparents got married 52 years ago, and where that grandmother’s parents got married 75 years ago (unfortunately they passed away before I could meet them). My Grandpa Larry and Grandma Jean have been such a huge part of my siblings and my lives. When I was little I would cry if my mom drove past their house without stopping because I wanted to go say hi to Grandma and Grandpa. I loved how she always kept my favorite foods in stock, the cheese crackers with peanut butter and Peanut Butter Captain Crunch. And I loved how they attended almost every one of my sporting events all throughout high school. Not only do I have great memories with them, but also, my Grandparents continue to be extremely involved, supportive, and influential with Andrew’s and my life today.

Fun Fact: My grandma and I were in the final cut for the casting of TLC’s show “Something Borrowed, Something New”.

You are great example and I cannot wait for Andrew and I to emulate you! I love you both and cannot wait to get married in the same church as you this weekend!
