Jenn and Derek are the sweetest couple. As the best man put it, they bring out the best in each other, and that is obvious from your first interactions with them. Jenn has the most amazing contagious smile, and being around her optimistic attitude just automatically puts you into a good mood. Derek is polite and poised, and tends to be a bit more reserved, but when these two are together they are playful, carefree, and so obviously in love.

When first pulling up to their wedding, I drove through a half mile drive lined with timber towards Adel’s newest venue, Country Lane Lodge. My favorite thing, and what I would recommend to others, is figure out your vision, and style of your wedding day, and then 100% embrace it! Derek and Jenn love being amongst the woods and nature! So everything from their venue, Country Lane Lodge, to their decor, to the brides shoes, fell in line and embraced that style. Everything looked so beautiful and cohesive, and most importantly, was a sweet reflection of them.

It was also an honor to photograph Jenn & Derek’s wedding, as well as the very first wedding held at Country Lane Lodge. We could have not asked for a more gorgeous November day at a place that had the most amazing outdoor backdrops, and with the weather we had that day, no coats were even needed.
