Oh what a day Branigan and Devin had! These two are going to have some amazing luck, because it did rain a bit on their wedding day- just a bit!;)
As I drove to meet up with the girls that morning, with my windshield wipers on the highest speed, I was thinking through how our plans for the day were going to change, and what all needed to be adjusted. The forecast was calling for different intensities of rain all day long. I arrived, walked into the room full of girls, found Branigan, who didn’t seem to be phased by the rain one bit. After chatting with her a bit, her outlook was ‘the day must go on, it’s just rain, if we get wet, we will dry.’ I was a bit in shock, but thrilled! What an awesome bride! I couldn’t believe her amazing attitude, and outlook, and I’m so thankful for it, because we really got some great images because of it!!!
The day was off and on wet, but beautiful. At the very end of the day, the clouds parted, the sun came out, and the weather was perfect! So many great things came from that day, including one of my favorite moments with Branigan & Devin’s 6 year old daughter, Sayge. As all the girls were shuffling around in the morning, doing hair, makeup, finding shoes, and jewelry… little Sayge is walking through the room, and under her breath says “This is the best day of my life.” Today her mommy and daddy were officially getting married. I couldn’t believe what a precious moment I had just seen. Little Sayge was ear to ear smiling all day long, especially when she got her very own father (groom) – daughter dance at the reception. Melted my heart!
Congratulations to this amazing family!
“If it rains on your wedding day, every time it rains for the rest of your life you will be blessed with a reminder of that special moment.”
If you want to know how to swing dance- Branigan’s family are the people to ask! So much fun!
